The WHO guidance on ethics and governance of AI for health lists transparency, explainability and intelligibility among its principles for health AI. The EMA reflection paper on AI in the medicinal product lifecycle also shows how medicine-related AI needs careful lifecycle thinking, including human responsibility and evidence.
In plain founder language:
Healthcare explanations need to help humans challenge the machine before harm happens.
A useful healthcare explanation may include:

- Intended use.
- System limits.
- Uncertainty.
- Similar case basis if allowed.
- Human review status.
- What the clinician should verify.

Do not market an AI triage tool as if it owns medical judgment.
Sell it as decision support with a visible human owner.
Hiring: Explain Without Laundering Bias
Hiring AI is dangerous because it can make unfairness look tidy.
The system can rank people, summarize interviews, filter resumes, infer skills, flag gaps or suggest next steps. If the explanation is weak, the candidate gets a polite rejection and the company gets a comforting spreadsheet. Nobody sees whether the tool amplified old hiring habits.
